Route: Hohenschwangau - Jugend crossroads (bus stop) - go south, unpaved forestry road in the direction of Säuling - at the first viewpoint (tight left bend) turn off right - follow the path - pass the Marienbuche (old beech tree with an image in honour of the Mother of God) - go straight on for another 100 metres, then turn off half right to the Israelit (a curious succession of rock walls on which Hebrew letters were supposedly found) - Gnomensteig to the Alpsee - pass the Alpsee swimming pool - Hohenschwangau
