WINTER SPORTS IN THE ALLGÄU
Skiing – the perfect winter fun: What could be better than gondolaing up in bright sunshine? Take off and dive into the snow that it just drifts! We are not the great ski paradise, but we offer skiing at its best with our Allgäu and Tyrolean neighbours. A 5-minutes drive from the hotel brings you to the winter sports arena Tegelberg. A snow-sure area for beginners and advanced skiers with a sporty 4.2 km descent into the valley. Skiing has been a tradition in the Allgäu and Tyrol for years. So skiers, snowboarders, carvers and the newcomers of the winter sports commute in all these regions.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
At the hotel we have a direct access to 35 km of groomed cross-country trails, which await you for both skating and classic style. You are welcome to store your skis safely with us, but of course you can also rent the perfect equipment on site.
Leave your winter sports equipment at home and rent it from our local sports store! In doing so you get perfect advice and the most modern equipment!

The mountain railway Tegelbergbahn is the gateway to the largest nature reserve in Bavaria, the Ammergebirge. In winter, the Tegelberg is popular for a fast ski descent. The Buchenberg is great for tobogganing and the Breitenberg offers numerous snowshoe hikes.
As soon as you stay with us at the König Ludwig, you can enjoy the view from the mountains Tegelberg, Breitenberg and Buchenberg at a lower price. You can buy the tickets at the reception. The tickets are valid for both directions: up and down.
